Jonathan Newell founded JN Design after the successful completion of his first major commission bronze art installation: "The opportunity to create this custom bronze fountain came up while helping to build a massive retaining seawall below a cliffside home near Point Lobos, CA.  As the project progressed, it became evident that there would be a walkway leading to a deck and on down to the beach in the cove below. It was decided that a fountain was needed on this deck and I  approached the owner of the estate to design and build it. After some negotiating and shopping for bids to have the design cast elsewhere, I offered to build my own foundry to get the job done and impart some savings on the overall cost of the project.  My offer was accepted and I found myself on a path that I am continually grateful to have chosen. When complete, a helicopter dropped the 1600 lbs of bronze sea shells into place....  Exciting custom sculptural work has continued to follow.  I love what I do and I feel that it shows in the results." -JN-
